Using Home Cookin with Mac or Linux Computers

Home Cookin works with Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, or XP.

I have no plans to develop a Mac or Linux version of Home Cookin, but there are a few ways you can use Home Cookin with your Apple Macintosh computer or Linux operating system.

Cloud Backup

If you have a Windows computer, the simplest option is to organize your recipes on that computer. Then upload your recipes to the cloud where you can view them on your Mac, tablet, or smart phone.

Crossover

Crossover is a commercial product by CodeWeavers that will allow you to run Home Cookin and other Windows based applications on your Mac, Linux, or Chrome computer.

Wine Emulator

If prefer a more hands on approach, you can use the free "Wine" emulator. The Crossover software listed above is based on Wine and continues to support it's development.
